


Heinrich Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC is an organic, biodynamic red wine made in barrels by the Heinrich winery with the native Blaufränkisch variety in the Austrian Leithaberg denomination, in Burgenland.
Gernot and Heike Heinrich founded their winery in 1990 with just one hectare . A wine company expert at producing wines from local varieties such as Blaufränkisch and trying to show the true essence of the place with organic farming and minimally interventionist winemaking.
Heinrich Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC comes from old Blaufränkisch vineyards situated on the slopes of the Leitha mountain. The soils are fossil-rich limestone, calcareous sandstone and shale. Organic farming with biodynamic standards is practiced.
Heinrich Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC is a wine made from spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and a three-week maceration of the skins in wooden fermentation tanks. It’s then gently pressed and finally aged for 20 months in 500-liter used oak barrels.
Heinrich Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC is a wine which shows the essence of Burgenland. A red wine with the characteristics typical of the region and the natural charismatic individuality of the winery itself.
