Hajszan Neumann Nussberg Gruner Veltliner is an organic, biodynamic white wine made on lees with the grüner veltliner variety in Vienna (Austria) by Hajszan Neumann.
Located in Grinzing, the most famous wine-growing district of Vienna, at the foot of the Nussberg mountain, Hajszan Neumann is a 100% biodynamic winery. Managed since 2014 by the prestigious winemaker Fritz Wieninger, it produces elegant wines with the authentic expression of Nussberg soils.
Hajszan Neumann Nussberg Gruner Veltliner comes exclusively from vineyards which have been cultivated since 2002 according to biodynamic guidelines. These vines are planted in the characteristic Nussenberg soils, predominantly calcareous with eroded shell limestone. Harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripening.
In the vinification of Hajszan Neumann Nussberg Gruner Veltliner, the grapes from each plot are separately subjected to a short period of maceration in the skins and then carefully pressed. The must obtained ferments at a low temperature with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and remains on the lees for a moderate period of time. Finally, the coupage is created and the wine is bottled.
Product of one of the coolest areas of the Nussberg mountain, Hajszan Neumann Nussberg Gruner Veltliner is a white wine with much freshness. A fresh, vibrant and very mineral veltliner.
