Characteristics Grappa Poli Barrique

The prestigious Jacopo Poli is an artisan distillery owned by the Poli family, founded in 1898 in Schiavon, near Bassano del Grappa, in the heart of the Veneto, the most traditional region for producing Grappa.
Before maturing in the barrels, Poli Barrique matured in the heart and mind of Toni, the owners' father. Distilled for the first time in 1989, only nine barrels a year are produced. The marc used to make it is obtained from a cuvée of red grape varieties from the province. It is distilled in small batches, in the traditional way, with a discontinuous copper still with steam pots. It is aged for 13 years in oak barrels.
