Ganevat Seau-Trou Les Corvées 2019 is a smooth red wine with delicate aromas of red fruit, hints of roses and touches of white pepper. On the palate it is light, silky and supple. A wine with fine acidity, very sensual fruit and a spicy finish.
Ganevat Seau-Trou Les Corvées is a wood-aged red wine made by Anne et Jean-François Ganevat with the Trousseau variety in the Jura region (France).
Jean-François and his sister Anne Ganevat are the 14th generation of their family’s winemaking history in the village of Rotalier, in southern Jura. As one of the iconic natural winemakers, he and his sister make wines from small plots, from a specific soil and variety and free from the constraints of any AOC. As a result, they make an incredible number of different wines every year that are well known in the world of new generation wines.
Ganevat Seau-Trou Les Corvées comes from a plot in Arbois. The vines are not treated with any chemical products and are biodynamically cultivated, using medicinal plant treatments and taking into account the moon phases in every process.
In the winery, Ganevat Seau-Trou Les Corvées undergoes a 20-day semi-carbonic maceration in cone-shaped vats, with native yeasts and no added sulphur. The wine then ages in used French oak barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled without filtering, clarifying or adding sulphites.
Made by one of the icons of an uninhibited Jura, Ganevat Seau-Trou Les Corvées is an easy-drinking wine that is low in alcohol and full of its own identity. A new generation Trousseau.
