About E. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane
E. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane is a monovarietal Viognier white wine from the AOC Condrieu produced by Domaine E. Guigal.
Domaine E. Guigal It is one of the most famous wineries in the Rhone. It was founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal. It is currently run by Philippe Guigal, the third generation of the family and the Domaine’s winemaker. It cultivates vineyards in several sub-denominations of the Rhone Valley, both northern (Saint-Joseph, Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Crozes-Hermitage) and southern (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Tavel, Côtes-du-Rhône). It has also produced its own barrels since 2003.
The vineyards for M. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane have an average age of 35 years and are located on steep terraces with soils of limestone, granite, sand and granite with iron oxide. They produce around 39 hectolitres per hectare.
E. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane is vinified and undergoes 12-month ageing in new barrels. It also undergoes malolactic fermentation to reduce the green acidity a little and give it lactic and creamy touches.
E. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane is a Viognier with very intense and complex aromas and a rounded, meaty mouthfeel, together with a beautiful acidity that gives it harmony.

2016 | E. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane 2016 offers intense and powerful aromas that remind us of white flowers, apricot and white peaches. On the palate it is fresh, rounded and rich, with a great body. It is a fresh wine, with a pleasant and light acidity that is balanced by a fleshy fruitiness. |
