Domaine François Mikulski Meursault

Domaine François Mikulski Meursault is a monovarietal Chardonnay white wine from the AOC Mersault, in Côtes de Beaune, Burgundy, produced by Domaine François Mikulski.

Domaine François Mikulski is a winery that made its first vintage in 1992. It is engaged in the production of top Burgundy wines that are authentic, elegant and pure. It uses compost produced by the same winery, together with phyto-sanitary products that respect the environment, and strives to preserve and promote the biological balance of its vineyards.

The vineyards for Domaine François Mikulski Meursault are cultivated organically. They are a set of plots with clayey-calcareous soils and with a subsoil formed by a layer rich in limestone gravel. In total they cover an area of approximately 1.5 hectares and their average age is around 35 years.

The Domaine François Mikulski Meursault harvest is pressed when it arrives in the cellar, and the must is cleaned by decanting to achieve a clean fermentation free of unpleasant aromas. It ferments with native yeasts and ends up ageing for 10 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new. The total production is limited, with about 9,000 bottles being produced.

Domaine François Mikulski Meursault is a complex and intense wine ready for consumption, but it will also evolve favourably and can be enjoyed in coming years.
