Characteristics Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a red wine made with the Garnacha, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsaut varieties by Domaine de Marcoux in the AOC Châteauneuf-du-pape (Rhone) French classification.
The Armenier & Estevenin family has been producing wines in the prestigious French region of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Alpes de Haute Provence area for over five generations. Today, Sophie and Catherine Estevenin are at the helm of Domaine de Marcoux. A new era of working to show off the riches of an exceptional terroir through organic farming certified by ECOCERT.
The Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard is ecologically cultivated (ECOCERT-certified) using biodynamic preparations made from manure and wild herbs. The harvest is manual and a first grape selection happens in the vineyard. The grapes are then quickly taken to the winery in 50 kg boxes.
When the grapes reach the winery, they pass over a selection table and are then destemmed, strained and cooled. Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape ferments with native yeasts, at a controlled temperature with daily pump overs. It then macerates for 4 to 5 weeks. Following that, it ages for 18 months in concrete tanks and oak barrels.
Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a red wine that perfectly represents the most authentic expression of the powerful Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region.
