Domaine Andrée L'Envolée

Domaine Andrée L'Envolée is an organic red wine that is a coupage of Grolleau Noir and Grolleau Gris from the IGP Pays du Val de Loire produced by Domaine Andrée.

Domaine Andrée is a young winery founded in 2011 and owned by Stéphane Erissé, who named it after her grandmother who was also called "Andrée". The winery controls 5 hectares of vineyard containing Grolleau, Cabernet Franc and Chenin. It is located in Saint Georges sur Layon.

The vineyards for Domaine Andrée L'Envolée containing Grolleau Noirgrapes have an average age of about 50 years and those of Grolleau Gris an average of 20. They are cultivated following the principles of organic farming. They are manually harvested so that the grapes reach the winery in the best possible conditions.

Domaine Andrée L'Envolée is vinified with native yeast. The must-wine is macerated with the skins for about three weeks. Once the must has fermented the wine is aged for 12 months in barrels, one third of which are new.

Domaine Andrée is vinified following the philosophy of minimal intervention: without adding oenological products and using very little sulphite in its productions.
