About Corte Armano Valpolicella Classico Le Bine
Corte Armano Valpolicella Classico is a red wine coupage of the corvina and rondinella varieties produced by the Corte Armano winery, in the DOC Valpolicella Classico, in Piedmont, Italy.
The Corte Armano Valpolicella Classico wine is made by the Campagnola family in Valgatara, a small town in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region where the vineyards have predominantly calcareous soils.
To make the Corte Armano Valpolicella Classico wine, the harvest is carried out manually. When the grapes reach the winery, they are carefully selected to be crushed and macerated for ten days with their skins. After racking, a small amount of must is added. This must is made from dried grapes that are used to make the Amarone wine. This must causes a second fermentation that adds more colour and body to the wine.
Following alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the skins for another 20 to 25 days. It is settled and racked ready to age in oak barrels for a year. The wine is bottled and rests three months in the winery before being sold.
Corte Armano Valpolicella Classico goes very well with the most well-known Italian dishes like pasta and pizza, and is a delicious, easy way to discover the interesting world of DOC Valpolicella Classico wines.
2018 | Corte Armano Valpolicella Classico 2018 is a red wine that offers fruity and spicy notes on the nose. On the palate it is dry with flavours of cherries, plums and almonds accompanied by velvety tannins and a smooth finish. |
