Characteristics Corona de Aragón Garnacha

Corona de Aragón Garnacha is a young varietal Grenache from DO Cariñena prepared by the Corona de Aragón cellar.

The grapes are hand harvested from rainfed vineyards located between 500 and 700 metres of altitude. Vines are more than 40 years old and the production of each vine does not exceed 2 kilos.

After harvesting, the grapes are left to cool for about four or five days at a temperature of 8°. Subsequently, in order to achieve the highest concentration possible, they are fermented at 26°. Délestage techniques are used, which favour extraction of colour and phenolic compounds and which facilitates the dissolution of oxygen.

Finally, to control the pace of fermentation, a certain amount of yeast per litre is used.
