Characteristics Coma Alta
Mas d'en Gil Coma Alta is a white wine of Grenache produced by the Mas d'en Gil winery in Priorat.
The grapes come from a farm of 125 acres of which the vineyard occupies 45 hectares, sharing space with hazelnut trees, almond trees and Mediterranean forest.
The farm is planted 300 metres above sea level, with the typical terraces and licorella (slate soils) of the Priorat, which is as known in the area for slate, river rocks and quartzite.
The harvest is done manually at the optimum ripeness of each plot.
The grapes are transferred to the winery in small boxes of 20 kg, ensuring their optimal state. A selection of grapes is done in the vineyard.
Mas d'en Gil Coma Alta is aged in French oak barrels of 500 and 1000 litres.
