Bruma del Estrecho Parcela Navajuelos is a red wine produced in the D.O. Jumilla by Bruma del Estrecho de Marín.
Bruma del Estrecho de Marín is a personal project created by Elena Pacheco and Isio Ramos. This project is born from their aim to produce 100% Monastrell wines in different areas of the D.O. Jumilla. All of this is possible thanks to the winery that Elena's family has in this area, Bodegas Viña Elena. Here, each vineyard area goes through the winemaking process individually, showing the character of the Monastrell grape according to different soils and microclimates.
They have 4 different vineyard areas in two different places, Las Chozas and Marín. They seek the highest quality and the expression of the terroir in all their wines, especially focusing on the vintage. A vintage that does not reach an optimum quality or that does not show the character of the vineyard area, will not be released on the market.
Bruma del Estrecho Parcela Navajuelos is a wine prepared with Monastrell grapes from vines that are over 40 years old. They are planted on sandy soils with boulders. They are manually harvested and placed in 20 kg boxes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel deposits for 8 days at a temperature of 24ºC. Wine is aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels with a capacity of 300 litres.
Bruma del Estrecho Parcela Navajuelos is a balanced, long lasting, fresh wine. An elegant blend of ripe black fruits and minerality.
