Borgo del Col Alto Prosecco Brut is a sparkling wine (Prosecco) made with the Glera variety by the Borgo del Col Alto winery in the Veneto region of Italy.
Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine that is mainly made from the Glera variety, which is also known as the “Prosecco grape”, in the Friuli regions and throughout Veneto. It is made using the Charmat method which, unlike the traditional method used for cavas or champagnes, the second fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank instead of in the bottle. So when the wine has fermented and with the carbon dioxide already generated in the tank, the prosecco is bottled for immediate sale.
Prosecco is perfect for enjoying with appetisers and is the main ingredient of the well-known Bellini cocktail.
