Arnot-Roberts Que Syrah Vineyard is an organic wood-aged red wine made by Arnot-Roberts with the Syrah variety in the AVA Sonoma Coast, California (USA).
Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts are two childhood friends who grew up together in Napa Valley wine country and decided to start their own project in 2001. Arnot-Roberts focus on single vineyard wines and to do this, they search for unique terroirs throughout Northern California: Napa Valley, Sonoma Coast, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Rita Hills, Clearlake and Sierra Foothills. As a result, they create unique, honest and very expressive wines.
Arnot-Roberts Que Syrah Vineyard comes from one of the gems of the Sonoma Coast Valley. This is the oldest Syrah vineyard in the area, planted in 1994. The vines are over 25 years old and they grow in sedimentary shale soils in the cold Pacific climate. Certified organic, the grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Arnot-Roberts Que Syrah Vineyard bunches are kept whole and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Arnot-Roberts Que Syrah Vineyard is an exemplary wine from a very special vineyard that showcases the great expression of the Syrah variety in cool-climate plots along the Pacific Coast. A deep and vibrant red that is perfect for those who love this variety.
