Arnot-Roberts Legan Vineyard is an organic, wood-aged red wine made by the Arnot-Roberts winery in Santa Cruz Mountains, California (USA)
Arnot-Roberts are the surnames of two childhood friends who in 2001 decided to start their own winemaking project, creating small productions from unique and extraordinary vineyards. To do this, they collaborate with organic growers of unique vines cultivated in different parts of Northern California. The result is very expressive and honest wines.
Arnot-Roberts Legan Vineyard comes from a very special Pinot Noir vineyard located in the mountains east of Monterey Bay. The vines are organically cultivated and, thanks to the refreshing breezes from the bay, the grapes enjoy a long growing season. The grapes are harvested manually when they reach optimum ripeness.
In the winery, Arnot-Roberts Legan Vineyard is vinified with low intervention. To begin with, the grapes are not destemmed and they ferment with all of the stems spontaneously and with native yeasts. The wine is then aged for 10 months in used French oak barrels before being bottled.
Arnot-Roberts Legan Vineyard is a red wine made under the influence of the cool air of the Monterey Bay. A California Pinot Noir of great beauty and precision.
