About Albino Armani Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso

Albino Armani Refosco dal Pendulo Rosso Grave is a wood-aged red wine made by Albino Armani with the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso variety in the DOC Friuli Grave, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region (Italy). 
 
With 400 years of history behind it, Albino Armani is a family winery that began its winemaking story in the Valle dell'Adige. They have expanded and now have estates and land in Valpolicella, in Marca Trevigiana and in Friuli. These are all different places but they have one thing in common: a respect for the territory and for the people who work it. 
 
Albino Armani Refosco dal Rosso Pendulo Grave is made with Refosco dal Pendulo Rosso, a native variety discovered in 1700 in Friuli that has become so popular recently that it is now a symbol of the region. These are vines planted in loose and aerated soils rich in calcareous stone at the foot of the Carnic Alps.
 
In the winery, the Albino Armani Refosco dal Pendulo Rosso Grave grapes firstly ferment in stainless steel tanks with frequent pumping over and then the wine is aged in foudres for 12 months before bottling.
 
Made with the best Friuli black grape variety, Albino Armani Refosco dal Pendulo Rosso Grave is a unique red wine with a strong character and a good structure.
2019

Albino Armani Refosco Dal Pendulo Rosso Grave 2019 is a richly concentrated red wine. The bouquet reveals dried herbs, florals, red fruits, and spices. On the palate, it is lively, featuring robust tannins and toasted nuances. Hints of oak are present.
2018
Albino Armani Refosco dal Pendulo Rosso Grave 2018 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe red fruits accompanied by floral notes. On the palate it is smooth, enveloping and especially fruity. A purebred wine with a long and persistent finish.
