La Rioja is one of the most important areas of wine production in the world. It has a long history, and exceptional soils and climates. From the Tempranillo and Grenache varieties they make great red wines that are masterfully aged which demonstrates the experience passed from generation to generation.
Bodegas Ysios were inaugurated in 2001 and represent a fine example of architecture in perfect harmony with the landscape, in this case the background is the Sierra de Cantabria, which separates naturally the region of Rioja Alavesa to the rest of the province of Alava. As shown there is a balance between the mountains and its vegetation, and this pioneering winery surrounded by vineyards, which is integrated in its natural environment and landscape as a part of it, even embellishing.
