Characteristics of Ximénez-Spínola Brandy Criaderas Diez Mil Botellas
Ximenez-Spinola Brandy Criaderas is a brandy from D.O. Jerez prepared by the bodega Ximénez-Spinola. This brandy is made using Pedro Ximénez grapes.
Ximenez-Spinola Brandy Criaderas is distilled from criaderas in the San Cristino solera: the same that form part of the famous San Cristino Brandy Solera 1948, another major brand of Ximenez-Spinola.
Once distilled from Pedro Ximenez, the extracted alcohol is aged in chestnut wooden casks of 750 liters and 75 years old. The chestnut has the ability to not give the product excessive acidity, being very respectful of the original liquid and providing even some fruity notes.
Ximenez-Spinola is a small family winery in Jerez, that has always placed the importance of the quality over the quantity of their products. They are renound for their brandies.
Jerez is home to an exceptional culture in winemaking and viticulture, producing an incredible variety of wines. Sherry and the DO. Jerez region are unlike any other wine or region in Spain and symbolise a centuries-old culture and a true art form of ecological tradition. Even today it is fair to say that these wines have not found their equivalent in the world, and are therefore a real asset to the Spanish word of wine.
