Bodegas Tagoinus is located 45 km Southeast of Madrid, in Tielmes de Tajuña. It spans 35 hectares, all within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid. Elders from the area claim that La Veguilla and its surroundings was home to producers of some of the best wines consumed in the Royal Court.
In La Veguilla, specifically in the camino de Villarejo, plots of land were selected that constitute a unique asset for the production of high quality wines because of the characteristics of their soil, cold winters and hot summers. Tempranillo, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malvar are the basic varietals of our Tagonius wines.
In Bodegas Tagonius, the best wines are produced under the supervision of industry experts. The process begins with the selection of grape clusters aided by technological know-how, modern quality control processes and facilities, and ends with the wine's ageing in American and especially French oak barrels in order to obtain the best possible woody nuances.
