Saó del Coster is located at the city limits of Gratallops in the DOQ Priorat, encircled by its two estates: Planassos and La Pujada. The goal of this winery is to produce honest and elegant Priorat wines. These winemakers work with vines from autochtonous varieties such as Garnacha and Cariñena, some of which are over 60 years old.
In 2010, Saó del Coster launched a new wine in the D.O. Rías Baixas, the "X de Saó," a 100 percent Albariño. These winemakers work in an artisanal fashion, applying the philosophy of minimal intervention both to agriculture and to wine production, respecting the cycles of nature, performing biodynamic treatments in their estates, working with animals and following the lunar calendar for all work in the winery and the vineyard. It is a commitment to recovering a winemaking tradition that is almost extinct, with which one is able to produce deep wines with big personalities that offer pleasure to those who drinks them.
