Kosher wine

Kosher wine

Kosher wines, Kosher is actually Hebrew for pure, are wines apt for the Jewish community and for Jewish celebrations. In order to be classified as Kosher, the wine must undergo strict supervision at all stages of development by someone qualified by the Jewish religion. Firstly, the vines must be at least 4 years old, and relax at least every 7. The last organic fertilization must take place at least two months before the harvest. Only a Jew is able to touch the grapes during production. Wood and oak are not allowed to be used during the vinification process, with stainless steel used instead. Selected yeasts are also not allowed. Only Jewish people can see the wine until it is bottled. Then finally, after following these regulations, the wine must be recognised by a rabbi as a kosher wine
