 Valencian wines have a long tradition of being exported to foreign markets thanks to the importance of the port of Valencia, which is the reason they are not very well known in Spain, and not because of their lack of quality,. The areas of cultivation are divided into Valentino, Alto Turia, Moscatel and Clariano. With two types of climate: Mediterranean, for those vineyards closest to the sea, and continental for the bleak uplands that penetrate towards the interior, this region is known for its arid or semi-arid land. The wines from Valencia can be red, white, rosé, rancid and sweet. There are also sparkling liquors and sparkling aromatics, a class of wines that are not consumed in their country of origin.
