 Spain is a country with a vast array of different climates and landscapes, something that is reflected in the range of Spanish wine: with the elegance of the wine from Rioja, the subtlety of the Ribera del Duero, the concentration of Jumilla, the minerality of the Priorat, the freshness of Bierzo, the salinity of the wine from the Rías Baixas, and the character of the Verdejo and wines from Rueda. Spain is home to red wine, white, rosé, sweet, sparkling and fortified wines, all produced following various production and ageing techniques, whether that be: wines undergoing long barrel ageing in La Rioja, young wines that are produced by undergoing carbonic maceration, white wines aged in barrels, or fortified using the solera system in Jerez.
