Valduero is a family owned winery and one of the first established in 1984 in Ribera del Duero. Over the years, Valduero has continuously increased the volume and quality of its production. We currently own over 200 hectares of vineyards of "tinto fino" better known as Tempranillo producing Crianzas, Reservas and Gran Reservas.
To consolidate our project and taking into account our development, we built in 2000 a new winery with a particular state of the art design. The winery is built under a mountain and consists of 3 tunnels. In total we have over 4000 American oak barrels and 1 million bottles resting in the cellar until they are judged ready to be released. It is a huge investment but it also guarantees continuity in case of bad crops due to frost or rain which happens sometimes in our region. Last investments to date have been made in Toro and Rioja where we also own and produce a selection of wines. Valduero exports at present to more than 30 countries all over the world. One of our main advantages is the capability of serving pallets with mixed quantities of our different wines to specialized top wine distributors right from the cellar. As part of our policy with distributors, we like to support their activities with regular visits to their markets, promotional actions, tastings, active participation in fairs, international wine contests and visits to our cellar. The results are an impressive collection of prizes, medals and accolades which have accredited Valduero as one of the top wineries from Ribera del Duero.
