Vins Nus Siuralta Orange is a natural wine produced by the winery Vins Nus, in Cornudella de Montsant, D.O. Motsant.
Vins Nus is the new project of Alfredo Arribas (Portal del Priorat). As a result of his search for high-altitude vines to produce very special wines, Alfredo began his new project in 2008.
The vineyards to make Vins Nus are located in high areas of Montsant and cultivated biodynamically. These magnificent vineyards, harvested at their optimal ripening point, yield grapes with a good acidity and freshness. This allows Alfredo to make his wines in a non-interventionist way, without adding SO2 or any other chemical, resulting in pure, traditional wines, very close to their origins. Wines of altitude, and with a good ageing capacity.
Vins Nus Siuralta Orange is a wine made with White Grenache, Malvasía, and White Carignan. The vineyards are located at 820 metres planted on clay and slate soils.
The grapes are manually harvested and placed in 16-kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed by hand, followed by a skin-contact maceration for 36 days in amphorae. It is fermented with native yeasts. The ageing takes place for 6 months in amphorae and small steel vats.
Vins Nus Siuralta Orange is a flavoursome, intense and very aromatic wine. On the nose, the aromas of citrus white fruit stand out. In the mouth, it shows volume, easy to drink and with a very fresh finish.
