Characteristics of Viñas de Gaín Blanco
"The value of great wines is intrinsically linked to the land and its people". This is the premise of one of the most emblematic wineries of the Rioja Alavesa, Artadi Viñedos & Vinos.
Viñas de Gaín comes from old vines in Viura vineyards, the origins of its power, quality and balance. After the manual harvest, the grape must is fermented at a controlled temperature in barrels and is then aged for 24 months in stainless steel deposits.

SightGolden yellow colour with amber reflections. Clean and very bright. Abundant, elegant tears on the glass.NoseHighly intense, complex and very enjoyable. Aromas of ripe, almost jammy yellow fruit with sweet spices and smoky, toasted notes. Sexy and interesting.TasteThis wine stands out in the mouth for its bulky attack. This is a creamy, silky and warm white wine with a magnificent acidity which defines its and brings freshness. A long, persistent and delightful finish. Smoky, fruity and toasted notes appear at retro-olfaction.
La Rioja is one of the most important areas of wine production in the world. It has a long history, and exceptional soils and climates. From the Tempranillo and Grenache varieties they make great red wines that are masterfully aged which demonstrates the experience passed from generation to generation.
Bodegas Artadi was founded in Laguardia back in 1985 as the´Cooperative Cosecheros Alaveses’', led by Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle. It was an association of a group of growers that wanted to collaborate on a business project based on the viticultural wealth of the La Rioja Alavesa region. They wanted the opportunity to prove that the use of carbonic maceration could also produce great wines, and this they did. Artadi has a history linked to the memory and stories of the people who helped found the winery and make what it is today. Outside of the busy and overcrowded industry , Artadi is based on passion and respect for the land and vineyards.
