Finca Viladellops is a winery located in the Macizo del Garraf, a 15 km mountain range situated along the Mediterranean coast. This mountain range is known for its calcareous soils and the presence of marine fossils.
In these special surroundings we can find this 500 hectare estate, with Mediterranean woodlands, cereal and 60 hectares of vineyards that are registered in the D.O. Penedès. This is where Marcelo Desvalls, its owner, prepares 100% Mediterranean quality wines. These wines intend to transmit their character through local varieties and certified organic agriculture for all of them.
Viladellops Xarel·lois a wine made from Xarello. This variety comes from two young vineyards which were planted in 2000 and 1993 on calcareous and clayey-calcareous soils. Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard and in the winery. After performing a pre-fermentation maceration process inside the press, with grapes that have been previously cooled in a cold chamber between 3 and 5ºC, they are left to ferment in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. The wine keeps its fine lees until it is bottled.
Viladellops Xarel·lo is an expressive, creamy, fresh wine. Elegant to the nose, its floral notes with shades of white Mediterranean fruit stand out.

Today, the D.O Penedès is experimenting with viticulture and winemaking like no other region in Spain, home to a vast range of different grape varieties. The region is home to traditional white and red varieties, foreign ones, noble ones, permitted grapes, experimental grapes, and those that demostrate intrinsic qualities. As well as the grapes, the production techniques used are also worth noting, the location of the vineyards, the yields per hectare, the wines produced using traditional, original or even exclusive blends, the different ageing times, as well as the complexity of the different barrels used! But the reality is, given the vast diversity, it can be difficult to pinpoint what really defines a wine from Penedès, since there are so many types of wines and wineries in the region. However, the common denominator of all the wines from Penedès continues to be balance and quality.
Viladellops Winery The winery is located in the town of Olerdola in the province of Barcelona in particular in the Garraf massif at an altitude of 250 meters, with calcareous clay soils. It is characterized primarily by its short production dedicated solely to the domestic market.

Priorat">D.O.Penedès</a>), una extensión de 15 kilómetros de cordillera en el litoral mediterráneo con terreno calcáreo y con presencia de fósiles marinos. <br /><br />Es un vino blanco elaborado a partir de una selección de las mejores uvas para hacer el mejor coupage de Xarel·lo de diversas parcelas y Xarel·lo Rosat. Los viñedos están trabajados bajo viticultura ecológica y certificados para el mercado europeo por la CCPAE. <br /><br />La vendimia es manual y la maceración pre-fermentativa a 3-5ºC. Este vino realiza una fermentación en barricas de roble francés de 400 litros y una crianza sobre lías con batonages periódicos.
