Characteristics of Venta D'Aubert Ventus
Ventus is a red wine from the Lower Aragón region and it produced by the Venta d’Aubert winery. The wine is a blend of 5 different grapes varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), red Grenache (32%), Cabernet Franc (8%), Monastrell (8%) and Syrah (7%).
The harvest is carried out manually. The grapes are then transported in boxes with a 20kg capacity to the winery. The juice then undergoes a short and light fermentation period with the skins intact for about a week. This results in a soft wine with low tannins.
Before being bottled and placed on the market, Ventus is aged for 2 years in used oak barrels which are prodominentely french, but also american.
