Ultreia La Claudina is a white wine made by the Raul Perez Wine cellar in Bierzo. Raúl Pérez is one of the renowned names on the Spanish wine scene.
In addition to producing wines in Bierzo, his homeland, he does in several areas in Spain such as Rías Baixas or Ribeira Sacra, as well as in the rest of the world, inluding Portugal and South Africa.
Raúl Pérez is an architect of great wines recognized by critics, such as El Pecado, with 98 Parker points, or Sketch, an Albariño aged under the sea, which scored 96 Parker points. Ultreia La Claudina is a white wine made from Godello.
The grapes come from two plots located in the towns of Cacabelos and Villafranca, in Bierzo, with clay soils.
The wine is aged for 11 months in French oak foudres of 2700 litres. Ultreia La Claudina is a white Godello wine produced like a red, undergoing fermentation. A different and complex Godello, with many nuances.
