On the coast of Guipuzcoa, about 30 km. of San Sebastian, in a beautiful and peaceful setting of rolling hills and green valleys, is situated this small region, consisting of vineyards in the communes of Getaria, Zarautz and Aia. The area enjoys a mild climate influenced by the Atlantic, higher average temperatures and high rainfall. For this reason, the vineyard is located on the slopes best sunny, airy, and in well-drained, adopting forms arbor. Marls and sandstones of the Paleocene-Eocene brown wet lands have resulted in limestone. Two varieties of remote origin, exclusively involved in the development of Txakoli, the white majority: Ondarrabi Zurri, and low ink and color: Ondarrabi Beltza.
