Characteristics of Tuets Chenin
Tuets Chenin is a white wine without denomination of origin, produced by Celler Tuets, in the region of Alt Camp (Tarragona).
Albert Domingo is the heart and soul of Celler Tuets. With his father, he cultivates the farm where his family has been planting the land for six generations. He currently uses organic methods, considering the land and its surroundings as a living organism.
The farm predominantly has calcareous soils with some plots of sandy loam and clayey loam soils. It is located in a privileged winemaking area, as it is situated at 550 metres above sea level, with sharp temperature contrasts between day and night in the summer that encourage the optimal ripening of the grapes.
Tuets Chenin is a varietal wine made from Chenin Blanc. These grapes are harvested manually. They go through a classic winemaking processing, with minimum intervention and without the addition of oenological products. They ferment with local yeasts, and no sulphites or fining agents are added.
Tuets Chenin is fresh, creamy wine with volume. Tropical fruit notes on the nose, on an aniseed-like, fresh background. This wine is extremely limited, only 735 bottles are produced.
The Denomination of Origin Tarragona is located in the central part of the province. The Mediterranean climate offers average temperatures of 15 º C, with irregular rainfall approaching 500 mm rainfall. The white wines have the consumer's appreciation for his graduation and moderate fruity aroma, they are soft and light wine, slightly marked acidity.
