Characteristics of Tipzzy
Tipzzy is a sparkling wine wine produced by Bernabe Navarro in Villena, Alicante.
The grapes used to produce this sparkling wine come from the Casa Balaguer vineyard, situated between 700 and 730 metres above sea level in the town of Villena, Alicante. The vineyards grow calcareous soils that have many stones. The vines themselves are old, aged between 40 and 60 years, and are cultivated on low bush vines, treated with short pruning and rigorous dryland farming. The vineyards are worked and cultivated organically, avoiding the use of herbicides or synthetic products.
Tipzzy is a blend of two different grape varieties; Garnacha and Monastrell, and is made using the ancestral method. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks, using its own yeasts and finishing in the bottle where the C02 is able to integrate by the end of the fermentation.
