Characteristics of Tineta
Tineta is a red wine made by Bodegas Jorge Ordoñez in the Ribera del Duero. Jorge Ordoñez is best known Spanish wine exporter to the United States, considered as one of those responsible for the welcoming Spanish wines into this country.
The Jorge Ordoñez Group produces wines in various wineries, Bodegas Volver, Venta Morales and Avancia among others, in 13 different denominations of Spanish origin.
Tineta is a varietal Tinto Fino, the variety which reigns in the Ribera del Duero, made with grapes from a single farm, Finca el Carril. The vineyard was planted 40 years on alluvial soils composed of clay, sand and gravel.
The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and the wine is then aged in French oak barrels for seven months.
The 2012 is the second vintage of this wine from the Ribera del Duero. In its first vintage, the critics Robert Parker and Stephen Tanzer rated it 91 points, which, together with its price made it a very attractive wine to the consumer. We look forward to its second vintage.

SightNice and lively ruby red colour with light violet reflections. Clean and bright, high robe wine with abundant tears.NoseHighly intense, clean and fragrant nose. Its aromas of ripe black fruit (blueberries, blackberries and blackcurrant) are very well integrated with its toasted notes, its spicy hints and its nice mineral touch.TasteIn the palate, it is a fresh and juicy medium-bodied wine, with a very well integrated acidity and a soft and pleasant tannic sensation. It has a long and persistent finish and delicious smoked aromas are noticed at retro-olfaction. A pleasant red wine with an excellent value for money.
Ribera del Duero is a Denomination of Origin located on the northern plateau, bathed by the waters of the River Duero, where they produce delicious and recognised red wines with great complexity made from the Trinto Fino grape variety.
With the 2004 vintage, were born the first wines from this winery, located at the end of Almáchar, in the heart of the Axarquia Malaga, a mountainous region of steep slopes and slate soils, along the Mediterranean. This is one of the oldest in Europe vitinícolas. It is the first winery established in this locality, as the traditional destination of these grapes was the production of raisins. Perhaps the newest part of this proposal was trusting the oenological winemaking in the Austrian winemaker Alois Kracher, who was undisputed number one sweet wines in the country.
