Characteristics of Tenute Soletta Kýanos Isola Dei Nuraghi
Tenute Soletta Kýanos Isola Dei Nuraghi is a barrel-aged white wine made by the Italian winery Tenute Soletta in Sardegna with the Italian Moscato, Vermentino and IncrocioManzoni varieties.
The Tenute Soletta winery was built in the 90s by Umberto Soletta who works to revive the land, following a long family history of cultivating vineyards and olive trees. He is increasingly aware that the quality of the wine depends mainly on the quality of the grapes. He has created a winemaking cooperative where human intervention and the environment work together in harmony.
Tenute Soletta Kýanos Isola Dei Nuraghi comes from vineyards located in the Italian town of Codrongianos, in the province of Sassari. These vines are aged between 20 and 55 years old, lying 350 metres above sea level and planted on white, sandy and calcareous sandstone soils. They use traditional agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually in 18 kg boxes.
When the Tenute Soletta Kýanos Isola Dei Nuraghi grapes reach the winery, they are selected and destemmed. When they have been pressed, the resulting must partially ferments in oak barrels on its own lees for 8-10 months.
Tenute Soletta Kýanos Isola Dei Nuraghi is a white wine whose name Kýanos means Codrongianos in Greek. A reference to the roots that have created a rich and nuanced wine.
