Ses Ferritges is a red wine produced by Vinyes i Bodegues Miquel Oliver in Petra, Mallorca, within the D.O. Pla i Llevant.
The origin of the winery Vinyes i Bodegues Miquel Oliver dates back to 1912 when Melchor Oliver planted his first vine. From this moment, he started to produce his first wines.
Currently, Miquel and Pilar, the grandson and great-granddaughter of Melchor Oliver, continue to manage the family business with the same philosophy, to produce wines with great quality and personality, mixing tradition and innovation with utmost respect for the environment.
They now have 12 hectares of vineyards, planted on soils with a gravelly sandy texture, poor in organic matter. Influenced by the Mediterranean climate, the vineyards are cultivated without herbicides.
Ses Ferritges is a wine made from Callet, Syrah,Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. After they are manually harvested, they go through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel deposits with a light extraction. Once the fermentation ends, it is left 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Ses Ferritges is a juicy, elegant and extremely lingering wine. The personality of the Callet stands out from the other varieties, also leaving space for the ageing notes.
