Characteristics of Sanz Verdejo
Sanz Verdejo is a young white wine made by the VinosSanz family winery with the native Verdejo variety in the D.O. Rueda (Castilla y León).
The Vinos Sanz vineyards have been passionately cultivated by six generations. Being one of the oldest wineries in the area and having many years of experience means they produce wines with a true Rueda identity.
The grapes used to make the Sanz Verdejo wine come from their own vineyards in La Seca. These are native vines planted in soils with boulders and clay. They are cultivated using traditional agriculture and limiting the vine yield. When the grapes reach optimum levels of acidity and alcohol, they are harvested manually and selected.
The Sanz Verdejo grapes are destemmed and gently pressed and the resulting must ferments in stainless steel tanks with a strict temperature control of no more than 15ºC. Finally, the wine is filtered and clarified before bottling.
The result of years of experience, Sanz Verdejo is a fresh, pleasant and seductive Verdejo. A white wine that confirms why this typical Rueda variety continues to triumph in the most casual circles.
