Characteristics of Ramiro's
Ramiro’s is a red wine from the V.T. Castilla-León, produced by the Ramiro Wine Cellar. This is a single variety wine, made exclusively with the Tempranillo grape variety.
Castilla y León is home to a continental Mediterranean climate. Winters in the region are long and cold, with temperatures rarely reaching over 5ºC, while the summers are short and not excessively hot. The topography of the region is another important element that has a strong influence on the final character of the wines from Castilla y León. The presence of the high plateau of the Meseta, an average altitude of about 800 meters, is an important factor that must be considered.
The grapes used for this wine come from vineyards that are between 60 and 90 years old, situated in the Valle del Duero. After the harvest has been carried out, the winemaking process begins with a stage of maceration which lasts for two weeks, during which the processes of plunging of the cap and pumping over are constant.
Ramiro’s is made following traditional methods. Just before the wine is put onto the market, the wine is bottled without being filtered nor clarified. Due to this, it is possible that there is slight precipitation in the final liquid. Here are Decántalo we recommend that you decant this wine before it is enjoyed.
