Characteristics of Quinta Clarisa
Quinta Clarisa is a rosé wine from the V.T. de Castilla y León produced by Belondrade & Lurtón. The winery was founded by Didier Belondrade, who in 1994 revolutionised the Spanish rosé market. In 2000, he founded his winery in La Seca (Valladolid).
The climate is the zone is continental, characterised by cold and long winters, short springs with late frosts and dry and hot summers. The difference between the temperatures in summer and winter are extreme, with up to a 50ºC difference, which can provide a great balance in the alcoholic content and acidity.
Quinta Clarisa is made exclusively with the Tempranillo grape variety. After a short maceration with the skins, the grapes are pressed and ferment in stainless steel tanks. This is a fruity rosé with a light touch of a red.
