Porcupine Chenin Blanc is a single-variety Chenin Blanc white wine produced by the Boekenhoutskloof winery in the Franschhoek denomination in South Africa.
To make the Porcupine Chenin Blanc wine, the must is fermented with native yeasts to preserve the variety’s freshness, fruity character, balance and structure.
Boekenhoutskloof means “Boekenhout Ravine”, and is named after a native Cape beech tree that is highly prized for making wooden furniture. This winery lies in the furthest corner of the Franschhoek Valley in South Africa.
