Characteristics of Plymouth Original

A gin with a single designation of origin, produced in Plymouth by mixing seven aromatic plants with water from Dartmoor natural park and pure grain alcohol in copper stills. The botanicals that make its flavours are juniper, coriander, lemon and orange peel, orris and angelica root and cardamom. Its origins go back to 1793, when it was the world's most consumed gin and also the official gin of the British Royal Navy. In 2006 is won two gold medals in teh San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
