Characteristics of Pinturas Crianza
Pinturas Crianza is a red wine from the D.O. La Rioja developed by the Óbalo winery. This wine made using only the Tempranillo grape variety, the most used grape in the region.
From old vines that are between 30 to 70 years old, the grapes used to make Pinturas Crianza grow close to the Sierra Cantabria. The harvest is carried out manually, with the grapes being transported to the winery in small boxes in order to prevent clusters from breaking or losing their best characteristics.
The various phases of the winemaking processes are carried out using conventional methods. Pinturas Crianza is aged in American oak barrels (70%) and French (30%) for 8 months before being bottled and marketed.
