Characteristics of Peña Roble Reserva
Peña Roble Reserva is a D.O. Ribera del Duero red wine produced by Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel.
A single varietal Tempranillo (100 percent). Its grapes come from vines that are 25-30 years old, from different plots of land around the Peñafiel area, with yields around 4,500 Kg/hectare.
Peña Roble Reserva is aged at temperatures between 8 and 10ºC, ideal for extracting all the grapes' aromatic and organoleptic qualities. The wine is aged for about 30 days, which are necessary to extract the grapes' maximum potential, and during alcoholic fermentation the temperature does not exceed 27ºC.
Peña Roble Reserva is aged for 15 months in French (30 percent) and American (70 percent) oak barrels. It rests for two months in tanks to mix aromas and a minimum of 12 months in bottles prior to being sold.
