Pazo de Barrantes Albariño is a white wine from the D.O Rías Baixes region produced by the Pazo de Barrantes winery. This wine is produced using only Albariño (100%) grapes.
The grapes used to make this wine come from the Finca Pazo de Barrantes. This spans 12 hectares of vineyards which surround the winery.
One the bunches have been harvested at the end of september – beginning of july, they are transported as quickly as possible to the winery. They are then destemmed before they are pressed.
The must of Pazo de Barrantes Albariño then ferments in stainless steel tanks for 30 days at a controlled temperature. The wine then rests on its lees for 4 months. Following this, the wine spends yet another 5 months in the same stainless steel tanks where is fermented.
Finally, Pazo de Barrantes Albariño ages for another 2 months in the bottle before being commercialised.
The Pazo de Barrantes winery is property of the Murrieta family, who also own the Marqués de Murrieta winery. Between these two wineries, the Murrieta family offer one of the most attractive ranges in Spanish wine.

Seguidament es sotmeten al desrapat abans de ser introduïts a la premsa, d'aquesta manera s'evita proporcionar al most el gust herbaci de la rapa. <br /><br />Posteriorment, la fermentació té lloc en dipòsits d'acer inoxidable durant 30 dies a temperatura controlada amb most prèviament desfangat. Es realitza un subtil contacte del most amb les seves mares fines durant quatre mesos per dotar al vi de certa untuositat i volum en boca.
