Pago de Santa Cruz is a red wine from the appellation of origin Ribera del Duero produced by Viña Sastre, in La Horra (Burgos).
This outstanding winery, since being established in 1992, Viña Sastre have positioned themselves between ecological and biodynamic agriculture.
Pago de Santa Cruz is produced 100% from the varietal Tempranillo. The grapes originating from old vines up to 64 years of age, planted on a slope on the river Duero, at an altitude of 810 meters. There is a no use policy of herbicides, pesticides or mineral fertilizers of any kind used for the cultivation of the vines.
For production, Pago de Santa Cruz undergoes a traditional winemaking process. After being macerated and fermented, this red wine is aged in American oak barrels for 18 months.
