Characteristics of Oloroso Asunción

Oloroso Asunción is a fortified wine from the D.O. Montilla-Moriles made of Pedro Ximénez grapes (100%). It is a wine produced by means of an oxidative ageing in American oak barrels, following the solera system (a process of ageing liquids), with regular extractions and sprinklings, for more than 12 years.

Tasting notes Oloroso Asunción

Sight Mahogany and old gold colour with amber sparkles and iodine tones. Nose Intense and deep aroma. Very elegant wooden tones are noticed. Sweet notes from the Pedro Ximénez grapes used in its production. Taste Very large wine with slight sweet notes of raisins from the Pedro Ximénez grapes it is made of. Hazelnut and toasted almond notes. Very persistent aftertaste.
