Olivé Batllori Brut Reserva is a cava reserva brut nature from the D.O Cava produced by the winery Olivé Batllori. This cava is a blend of three grape varieties: Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada.
The area is home to a climate that is rather warm and temperate, which is ideal for growing grapes. The presence of Mediterranean sea also has a very positive influence.
The harvest and transporting of the grapes to the winery is carried out in a conventional manner, with the upmost care being taken to ensure the grapes do not break or lose their character. Olivé Batllori Brut Reserva then undergoes the vinifcation process also following conventional methods.
Before being placed on the market, Olivé Batllori Brut Reserva ages for one year in the bottle. After being disgorged, the cava is the ready to enjoy.
Olivé Batllori is a small winery situated on the estate of Masia CanFigueres, which the family acquired in the second half of the twentieth century. The estate has a long history in viticulture, with vines being cultivated there since the 16th century.

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
