Characteristics of Neo
Neo is a wine of the IO Ribera del Duero produced by Bodegas Neo. This red wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes from vineyards located on different farms, aged between 50 and 60 year old, located in La Horra.
For the preparation of this varietal, harvesting in boxes of 16 kilos is performed manually. Subsequently, the grapes are macerated for 20 days at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for 15 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels. This wine is clarified and filtered.
22,000 bottles are produced, all numbered. We recommend decanting the wine half an hour before serving. As it has not been filtered, sediment may occur.

SightIntense cherry colour with purple edges. High robe. Bright wine with thin, elegant tears.NoseIntense aromas. The notes of ripe fruit appear on first nosing and become dominant. When swirling the glass, the fruit is mixed with subtle notes of chocolate and smoked, toasted and coffee aromas. A very subtle floral presence is also noticed.

TasteNeo is a very nice, very tasty and fleshy wine. It has a good attack with a slightly warm touch and a velvety and creamy mid palate. It shows lots of notes of ripe fruit and spices with a toasted nuance. Its tannins are polished. Long finish.
Ribera del Duero is a Denomination of Origin located on the northern plateau, bathed by the waters of the River Duero, where they produce delicious and recognised red wines with great complexity made from the Trinto Fino grape variety.
It was in 1999 when Javier Wormwood, Jose Luis Simon and Julio Cesar Conde decided to launch the project that united them and excited for some time, make wine they liked. With minimal financial contribution by the three parties, and under the supervision of winemaker Isaac Frenández, rented a space in a warehouse, bought grapes and produced 6,000 bottles of the Neo 2000. With an area of ââsome 10 hectares of Tempranillo or Tinta del Pais, taking care of all the processes both in the vineyard and the winery, produce powerful red wines with a strong personality that can not remain indifferent to whom the tasting and enjoy. Since 2004 also produce other wines in OJ as Rueda, Toro, Bierzo, Rioja and Priorat.
