Characteristics of Mès que Paraules Blanc
Més Que Paraules Blanc is an ecological white wine from Pla del Bages produced by the Més Que Paraules winery. This wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Picapoll.
Grapes for Més Que Paraules Blanc come from 55 hectares of vineyards located on the Jaumandreu estate in the municipality of Fonollosa.
The development is carried out using traditional methods. The varieties are vinified separately. Firstly maceration occurs with their skins. A pressing is then performed.
Més Que Paraules Blanc wort is then fermented for about two weeks in steel tanks at a temperature of 18 °.
Més Que Paraules Blanc undergoes aging on its lees for about 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Més Que Paraules winery was founded in 2004 by a group of professionals and entrepreneurs who were wine lovers and wanted to start their own project.

For many Catalan winemakers, the DO Catalunya is one of their best weapons for marketing their wines to the international market, since the image of their wine is significantly enhanced by a ‘Denominación de Origen’, which can certify a wines origin and quality. One of the initial positive effects is the fact that great wines are associated with a larger geographic area within the peninsula, in the same way as the Bordeaux region in France. For many producers, the DO Catalunya is a clear sign of the regions commitment towards a model of quality. This is especially beneficial for Catalan wines that previously did not come under another ‘Denominación de Origen’.
