Characteristics of Matsu
Matsu is a red wine from the appellation of origin Toro by the winery Matsu. Matsu is 100% produced from the varietal Tinta de Toro. The grapes originate from a selection of vineyards that have a very yield rate, these are cultivated using biodynamic methods.
The vineyards are located in the southeast of Zamora and the southwest of Valldolid and planted at 700 meters above sea level.
The harvest is conducted solely by hand during the first 15 days of October.
For its production the grapes are fermented and macerated for 3 weeks in concrete containers (10,00kg limit).
Subsequently, malolactic fermentation and then aged for 16 months in French oak barrels without any type of filtration or clarification.
On the palate, full bodied and wide. Silky and elegant with fine memories of mature fruit. Dense and structured.
