Characteristics of Mas Oller Mar
Mas Oller Mar is a white wine from the D.O. Empordà made by Mas Oller, a small winery that combines a rustic environment with modern oenological processes.
This wine is a blend of Picapoll (80%) and Malvasía (20%) from El Pla. The vines are over 10 years old and are planted at a height of 10m above sea level.
A cold maceration is carried out to obtain as many aromas as possible. This is a modern wine, yet it still reflects the winemaking tradition of Ampurdán. Pairings: Seafood, especiall oysters, fresh prawns and mussels, dishes based on rice like risotto and paella, pasta, cheese and white fruit and cream desserts.
The landscape of the region of Empordà, located in the northeast of Catalonia, is full of contrasts, due to the natural limits of the Pyrenees in the north and the Mediterranean Sea and magnificent Costa Brava in the east. Thanks to these, the Empordà is a unique place, a special territory between the sea and the mountains, marked by the presence of the north wind known as Tramontana.
